Pittsburgh based Medical Software Company is seeking a fulltime C# Software Engineer.
Technology used (familiarity a plus but not required):
• Microsoft .NET Platform (involving ASP.NET, Smart Clients, .NET Remoting, ADO.NET, …)
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Microsoft Team Foundation Server
Responsibilities
• Specify, design, and develop application and workflow software which will be based on commercial RFID tracking products.
• Participate in architectural design of the product.
• Define and use state of the art development tools and methodologies.
• Participate in a high performance software development team in an agile environment.
• Participate in the definition of product requirements and integration of new technology.
• Work in partnership with Quality Assurance team to address and resolve functional product issues as identified in the QA process.
• Maintain coding standards to facilitate code maintenance and enhancement.
Experience
• Minimum five years experience developing commercial software applications.
• Skilled in object-oriented design.
• Highly skilled with a modern object-oriented language (JAVA or C#).
• Proficiency in web services and Client/Server mechanics and methodologies.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational database technologies.
• Highly skilled and practiced at writing unit and module tests.
• Proficiency in XML.
• Knowledge and skills in software engineering methodologies. These include: documentation, configuration management, verification and validation and commercialization.
• Excellent problem solving and analysis skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
In this position you will report to the Director, Product Development and Support.
It is desirable that the applicant holds a degree in Computer Science or related discipline but we are willing to accept experience and exceptional expertise in lieu of formal education.
