Experience Level Required: Level 2: 3-5 years

Specific experience required to perform role: Proficient with Veritas Netback, Unix, Unix shell scripting and some proficiency with Windows 2000. Deliverables/Objectives of this position: Monitor backups performance, processes, and capacity. Recommend, coordinate, and implement adjustments as necessary. Writing, maintaining and documenting Unix scripts. Creating documentation where there is none. Maintaining documentation. Installing and maintain system software. Engaging vendors when necessary to #OOPS#ure quality installations. Work with vendors during hardware acquisition and installation. #OOPS#ist with planning, implementation, and management of vendor-supplied software updates. Installing Veritas NetBackup and Veritas Volume Manager.
